## Description

An ACDelco GM Original Equipment Ignition Coil is a GM-recommended replacement for your vehicle’s original component, and undergoes more stringent testing than aftermarket products. It increases electrical system voltage to help ignite the air/fuel mixture as the starting and charging system starts the engine, maintains the battery's charge, and provides power to the electrical accessories while the engine is running. An ACDelco GM OE Ignition Coil uses pure copper windings to improve durability and provide higher resistance to internal shorts and dielectric breakdown. Because the number and shape of the laminations determine the output characteristics of an ignition coil, ACDelco ensures that the silicone steel plates surrounding the coil correctly match the original part size and number. Since steel laminations work best when they are new, shiny, and clean, ACDelco laminations are coated to hinder corrosion and many feature molded plastic protection to help ensure that nothing is exposed. This original equipment ignition coil has been manufactured to fit your GM vehicle, providing the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors.

Review: Fixed misfire issue on cobalt - used on my '08 chevy cobalt 2.2L. Was getting random misfires and rough idle occasionally. Wasnt enough to set check engine light, but using my Bluedriver scanner i could see ECM detected misfires was getting about 50 misfires per drive max and most of them were while engine was cold. I had 140,000 miles on my car and this took care of my problem. Gas mileage got way better after this too!! I like to use Stock ACDelco for spark plugs and coil packs. Car runs great now! I did spark plugs on my car right at 100,000 miles but decided to do them again while i had coil packs out. They are cheap and if your going through the works of taking these out might as well do the plugs too. Really easy to do on the cobalts!
Review: Good enough for OEM, good enough for me. - I have a 2009 Chevy HHR SS model. It has 93k on the clock and I have recently changed the serpentine belt as per the maintenance schedule. My brother is a mechanic and he uses some pretty neat tools I as a shade tree wrencher don't. One of the those tools is a red famous brand and read I had a misfiring cylinder, specifically #1. So I peruse desertcart and find these little gems. OE equipment and needless to say it fit like a glove. I spent more time removing the air cleaner housing than replacing these guys. Now I'm going to bring this bad-boy to s auto parts store and ask if the misfire code is still present. Fit well, seemed to improve power and acceleration, and was well priced. With the hassle of removing the air filter housing I spent the extra coin to just replace all four.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fixed my misfire!
*by A***M on November 5, 2020*

Have a misfire? Before you start throwing parts at your car....do this. First, do yourself that favor and buy a obd2 bluetooth scanner. Download the torque app pro. Watch a couple of youtube videos on how to set it up and go from there. Now, I was having a bad misfire on a 09 malibu 2.4 with no misfire codes. Hooked up my scanner on it and watched for the real time misfire data. Confirmed! Cylinder 2 and 4 had a misfire. Now, what I did was swapped the coils (2 to 1 and 4 to 3) Confirmed! Now the cylinder misfire is now on 1 and 3. Which means I have 2 bad ignition coils. I went ahead a purchase all 4 for this car and changed it as soon as it came in. No more misfire. I also recommend buying the oem coils. Don't buy that chinese rubbish that is only going to last about six months if you're lucky.
