It looks like plastic which could break.** A: Amended 5-10-23: After I wrote a review telling how the mop broke and how the company said that since it had been over a year since I had bought it I had to buy a whole new mop (excepting pads) and then said to the chat person what was said (above) in their answer to this question and what they said in the description about how durable the handle is, they decided to send me a new one for free. So I'm satisfied, but they may want to edit their description of the handle in the 18" mop kit listing ("EXTREMELY DURABLE - This pro mop is up for the challenge. You'll feel the great confidence with it's adjustable, stainless steel handle assuring that it will never bend or break."), and also their answer to this question, above, and more clearly define what they mean when they said, "...we stand behind out products so in the rare case that you do have an issue you can contact us and we'll take care of it." By the way, a photo of where the handle broke is in my April 21, 2023 review of the 18" mop. Also, I got one of those handwritten notes that some have praised in the reviews, and it says it is a "3rd generation family business" — but some of the sentences in their descriptions sound like a foreign person is writing them. Just sayin'. **Q: I am trying to decide between the 18" and the 24" mops. Has anyone found tge 24" mop to be too big to be effective?** A: I bought the 24" mop and it is great! It is sturdy aluminum and doesn't bend so you can apply pressure over the 24" width very effectively. The only reason I didn't buy the 36" was that it was slightly too wide for the hallway. What is wrong with it?** A: 49ergirl,There are two compression rings, one on the handle (to lengthen and shorten the handle), one of the frame (to secure the handle to the frame). To secure the handle to the frame first loosen the compression ring, then insert the handle into the swivel mechanism of the frame. Make sure the handle seats completely, then tighten the handle onto the frame. Spray bottle?** A: I love my micro mop (18”) but want a larger one (24”) I’m shopping for the larger size. Following is what I plan. Hospitals use this type of mop. But-they have a stack of clean mop heads. And a professionally designed split bucket system on wheels with one side full of solution. The second empty side is a “hamper” for soiled mop heads. . They fully wet the mop head in the solution side. Clean one patients room. Toss dirty mop head in the empty side. Never dipping the soiled mop back into clean solution. That keeps body soil and germs from being transferred to other rooms plus keeps the solution sparkling clean. I have a 3000+ sq ft house. Wood floors, some area rugs. I think (hope) 6 large mop heads will do the trick. I don’t need to worry about transferring germs or doing individual rooms. I’ll just use one till it’s soiled and wet another. I’ll wash them all in one load after cleaning the house. Small price to pay for ease, cleanliness and efficiency. I’ll search for an appropriate “split” bucket (or just toss soiled ones in laundry tub. Currently, I keep a bucket with water to give a quick rinse to my soiled mop before dipping it in the solution.
