They are a little thinner than the ones I already had but still have a good amount of stretch. If you want to cover liquids and need them to be leak-proof you need to fit a size that has to stretch and fit snuggly, if dry goods then it does not matter so much. I used one to cover some left over gravy, gave it a good hard shake and left it upside down for a while and none dripped out. I use them in the summer instead of food nets, to cover sandwiches, left overs, basically any food that needs to be covered.
