It does work as described. Just need to caution that if the trailer is at any sort of odd angle, even slightly, it will bind and not release. Even with the 4 way tilt, that tilt is not quite enough. Also be assured that if you are pulling with a short box, be sure to get an extender on the trailer. If you don't, the chances are that you will pop out the back window in your truck. I did that within 1 hour of hooking up.
