It’s very soft, lighter than a standard comforter but heavy enough to be warm and snuggly. Print is great too. Definitely a good choice when you don’t want to break the bank for a blanket. I would only say be mindful about wash and dry. Choose the coolest settings possible and it’ll be just fine. I imagine heavy clawed pets would do a number on it too. I'll be honest. I originally purchased this comforter because I needed something quickly for my guestroom and I loved how many photos there were of cats sitting on the comforter in reviews. I have washed it already and it held up just fine. It's fluffy and warm. The material is nice- soft without being so soft that it collects everything it touches.
