Review: I don't regret paying premium for this unit. - This is not a cheap unit, it costs a lot of money with limited feature. But, there is a huge but! The installation guide is very clear, just connect the cable together, and I can power it up with no issue at the first time. Everything just work as expected. steering wheel control works, and even the screen will be adjusted if you turn on and off your headlight. The operation is very responsive, even if it doesn't have wireless carplay, but the wired carplay will connect everytime. The OS is very simple, there is no andriod OS on this unit. It might be seems a bit outdated, and over price. however, the responsive and operations are flowless. Just like your cars radio. you hop in, and it starts play what you would expected. From CD, FM, or bluetooth. The screen can be folded once you turned car off, automatically, however I found there is an issue, because I am driving manual. Whenever I stalled, and restart the engine, it will take sometime for the unit to fold up and then extend the screen. I just disable it. Then the sound, it is much better than what I had for my OEM unit, even if I just replace the head unit. The sound is very clear, and the bass is deep. Bluetooth is loud and clear. that definiately worth the extra money I put in. By the way the unit costs about 4 times as much as a "plug and play" andriod unit, and I don't regret my choice. The theme can be changed in different color, and event the wall paper can be changed as well. That means the unit will makes your dash look unified and provide a much cleaner installation. Only thing is the button is a bit small, but no complains. The screen is not the highest resolution, but the contrast, color, responsive prove that it is more than enough to do the job. Review: Refurb is like new! - As far as I could tell this was new. Amazing condition. Do note you need a kit for a 2003 Miata ## Features - DVD/CD receiver with 7" motorized fold-out touchscreen - Bluetooth hands-free calling and audio streaming - Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible - WebLink for access and display of YouTube and other iPhone and Android phone apps - Pandora and Spotify control with iPhone and Android ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08LR3TFQZ | | Audio Output Mode | Stereo | | Audio Output Type | Speakers | | Best Sellers Rank | #169,565 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #212 in Car In-Dash DVD Players & Video Receivers | | Brand | Pioneer | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Smartphone, Speaker | | Connectivity Technology | Auxiliary , Bluetooth | | Connector Type | 3.5mm Jack | | Control Method | Touch | | Controller Type | Android | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 39 Reviews | | Format | WMA | | Item Weight | 5.3 pounds | | Manufacturer | Pioneer | | Mfr Part Number | AVH3500 | | Model Number | AVH-3500NEX | | Number of Channels | 5 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Spotify, Touchscreen | | Software Update Supported to Date | unknown | | Special Feature | Spotify, Touchscreen | | Supported Internet Services | Pandora, SiriusXM | | Surround Sound Channel Configuration | 5.1 | | Total HDMI Ports | 1 | | Total Number of HDMI Ports | 1 | | UPC | 649661402749 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 90 days limited warranty | | Wireless Technology | Bluetooth | ## Product Details - **Audio Output Mode:** Stereo - **Brand:** Pioneer - **Color:** Black - **Compatible Devices:** Smartphone, Speaker - **Connectivity Technology:** RCA - **Connector Type:** 3.5mm Jack - **Controller Type:** Android - **Special Feature:** Spotify, Touchscreen - **Surround Sound Channel Configuration:** 5.1 - **Total HDMI Ports:** 1 ## Images ![AVH-3500NEX 1-Din 7-Inch Flip Out AV Receiver with Carplay and Android Auto (Renewed) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61fPDq1Y+lL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does it play cd??!** A: Yes **Q: Will this go inside a impala ls 2008** A: Yes this unit will work with a 2008 chevy impala. **Q: Will the hdmi port on this unit support my iphone?** A: Not sure about a hdmi port, but the USB port will.
