But I've had bad luck over time with copper-clad-aluminum (CCA) which is becoming more common due to reduce cost and weight, at the expense of long-term durability, in that over time the copper will rub off the core aluminum, sometimes causing increased resistance, since aluminum has lower amperage carrying capacity to the same diameter of copper. NOW...I tried to find out from the company if it is CCA or pure copper, and got on reply. This part number is DCOC-0075-DC. They have an almost exact 100' 16/3 cord for a few dollars more (CP10075), which they specifically say is pure copper wire. Also the maybe-CCA extension cord weight about 1/2 lb less than the pure copper ext. cord, and I know copper weight significantly more than aluminum, possibly reinforcing my thought of CCA vs copper wiring in the cord. So that's all I'm stating from what I know/don't know.
