A: As long as the specs are similar to the power supplies output it should work fine.

A: The device is either pulling to much current or the polarity is wrong for you device.

**Q: what products are used for ac/dc adapter model #0901?**
A: wondered about that once too ... 
... quickly realized used with probably a whole bunch known and unknown ... took a learning curve to rephrase the question in my head ... what does the intended device require and does the adapter provide it.  I'm far from knowledgeable with any how this stuff works, let alone  technical stuff ... made it easier for me in general to learn some basics ... 
- the plug type/size and +/- configuration, 
- the volt deliverable, 
- the amp amount deliverable ..  my understanding is that most devices these days only draw I think it is amps as needed so even if the adapter can offer a bit more, typically o.k.
... long short in some instances I found I already have an adapter from something else ... 
devices requiring 110V AC to 9V DC and up to the 1A / became easy ... determining the connector plug became less obvious.
Not a simple answer perhaps sought, but thought I'd share my own journey with such.
