petkey TM ISO Microchips are the perfect & most affordable choice for pet professionals for use in Dogs, Cats and other Small Animals. They are ISO Compliant which conforms to the International Organization for Standardization or ISO Standards 11784 and 11785. the ISO conformant Full Duplex microchip is recognized by the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), the agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) responsible for protecting animal health and welfare. the ISO chip has international acceptance, being common in many countries including those of Europe since the late 1990's, and now widely adopted in the United States and Canada. Contrary to popular belief, a pet microchip is not a GPS tracking device. Our chips use RFID technology to transmit the identification number stored in the chip. When a lost animal is found, a simple microchip scanner will be used, generally by a doctor or veterinarian, to uncover the info in the implanted chip and help you reunite with your cat or dog. The major benefit of using RFID radio frequencies over GPS trackers is that they do not require a power source. This eliminates the need to replace or charge batteries. Our company's chips are not only universal, but also are reliable, accurate, and your best choice.
