It has the three attributes I need: (1) clear, unbending, durable acrylic (2) an edge that is flush with the paper, tapering to a fine edge (rather than a thick one that is hard to see where your line will end up going), (3) is long enough to go across the entire paper size that I use. I also appreciate the fact that it has an imprinted grid and rulers. This is extremely well made and fixes all of the complaints I had about the others I've purchased in the past from other brands. Do yourself a favor and spend the money - it's totally worth it, and you won't need another (unless you want a smaller one just like it!) My old 45deg triangle has much lighter markings making it more difficult to line up. The dark markings make it much easier to see them against pencil lines. It is just as sturdy as I expected it would be.
