It shows the sensual act of two lovers who ensnare each other passionately. The work's title "The Eternal Spring" speaks for itself: By virtue of love human beings are able to feel ageless. The light and shadow, which occur on the surface of both characters, breathe life into the lovers. “The Eternal Spring” is considered Rodin’s life’s work. The sculpture is signed with A. Rodin. Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) was a French impressionist sculptor. He possessed a unique ability to model a complex, turbulent, deeply pocketed surface. The surface design of his sculptures was always in a way that generated a lively interplay of light and shadow. His most famous works include "The Kiss" and "The Thinker". Rodin is considered a pioneer of modernism and revolutionary of three-dimensional art. He is a master sculptor – in the opinion of some, unsurpassed since the Renaissance.
