Review: Perfect replacement - After slicing open my 2007 bmw key fob, removing and then soldering in place a new battery, I figured might as well get a new case while it's in pieces. The Case arrived in 24 hours and works perfectly. The PC board simply transfers from the old case to the new case and then snaps closed. No glueing is needed to close the new fob. The texture and feel of the Case is as good or better than the original and fits perfectly inside the ignition. Only thing it doesent have is the bmw roundel logo.

**Q: Can i just swap the blade from my old fob? and not have to get it cut.**
A: Yes, you can swap the blade. The new case comes with an uncut key, but you can just reuse the one from your original key fob.

**Q: Does this shell snaps together or do I have to glue it?**
A: No glue needed

**Q: What kind of battery did you use? My old fob has a CR 2032 and that doesn’t snap in**
A: This is what was in mine:

You can also try what I believe to be the equivalent. A CR2450 3 volt lithium ion battery. 

It depends on the model and year that you own. They only had a few options but I do know that the CR2032 only fits in the newer (last 3 to 4 years) model of BMW’s.  Also,do keep in mind that the batteries on those remotes are generally a non-serviceable item. When the fob is plugged into the car it is supposed to be charging the battery while you are driving. That being said, if you keep going through batteries you may want to have it checked out by the bmw service center to see if something has failed to function properly.  Good Luck!! **Q: Will this fit for 2007 525i e60? my oem key case is broken the electronic mechanism still works.**
A: if you have the non comfort access key fob then yes, but be careful about putting to thick of a battery in the because they wont close on one side to well. but these are very well made!

Works for 2009 BMW 328i xdrive with the fob put in dash to start. Just swapped out the board. It does feel better made than OEM. Does not have the BMW emblem or come with one to attach. Took off a star for no emblem.
