I had a little problem getting the ink to flow at first and that was because I hadn't screwed the top on well enough. I don't compare them to WOS because WOS is more of an opaque glitter that doesn't really work as an overlay. The Spectrums do work as an overlay because they are transparent. They work beautifully over color pencil! I was happy to see that the brush went into a nice point after a little practice. For me the glitter effect is just enough. Use these with a very light touch. Applying too much may smear the color underneath and dull it. If you want more glitter, wait until it dries completely then add another layer. The glitter does not fall off and make a mess, but if you put your finger on it, yes you will see some on your finger. If that's an issue you may want to consider some kind of fixative for your completed work. It took me awhile, but the more I use them the more I like them! They make everything gorgeous but not to the extent that it's too much. I even put it over my nail polish and clear Coated it ...made my manicure look paid for instead of an at home job.
