I had made knives in the past, kitchen, hunting and a couple machete for others and never got around to making myself one, this has stood up to everything I’ve tried to cut 2-3” Ash trees, and staying sharp. The saw cuts fast and with ease. Great balance, no shock felt in hand or arm. Fits the hand perfectly and even though I have trouble holding anything tight in my hands I had no issues hanging on to it. I would recommend this for anyone that is looking for a good machete that can be used for anything. I don’t like the sheath and going to make an leather one but that’s just a personal preference. Review: Nice tool for the money, Old Guy Surveyor Approved 👍 - Think I found Chinese Excalabur 🗡 ! This is a great tool for the price , much nicer quality than I expected , im super happy w it - thanks desertcart Review crowd 👍 Its a full tang blade , solid firm grip handle , super sharp and aggressive on the sawblade side . Its NOT a cheapo in any way. It comes with a decent factory edged blade but if you want razor sharp , a knife sharpener works well ... just watch the fingers & toes when swinging 🫣 and wear gloves. Comes w a nice sheath as well. After one afternoon of use , i find the blade seems sturdy and isnt too thick (you want more slice like a sword than chop like an axe) and the length is good . My only request would be if they could include a wrist lanyard (doesnt come w one) but I had some parachord around and that works well . I used to swing machetes all day as a surveyor ... I have lots of stories about machetes flying through the air when you whip it and it slips . USE A LANYARD . Overall: I like it and may buy another 👍 ## Features - New outdoor experience: Grand Way survival black machete with sheath will be your best friend on any adventure! The tang runs into the handle that is wrapped in a rubber overmold for better grip. **Q: Where is it made?** A: Made in China. Says on the box. **Q: Is this a knock off Gerber Bear Grylls machete?** A: I'm not familiar with the knock off you're referring to.
