Review: Good for teasing hair - I remember using these in my "olden days" when pouf hairdo's were the style. I don't have much hair on the crown of my head and also have 2 cowlicks right in the middle of my head. I needed something that I can tease my hair with and also use the metal end to lift my hair. It's curly and I don't use regular combs or even brushes. I just finger comb it but I do need some help getting the top and the back looking decent while not combing out the curls. This comb will work.

A: No, I’ve used them on people but they’re very easy to work with. It the dog has long/medium hair it would work

**Q: What are the ridges at the base of the comb for?**
A: I can’t say for sure - but they are on the part of the comb you would hold so I would think they are to improve your grip if the comb is wet.
