This blender container is not built to blend dry grains, they do make a separate stainless steel container meant for dry grains. Saying the standard container can be used for dry grains is like saying any $30-$50 blender can be used for grains or nuts. It just fails to mention that after "it is used in this way" it may break the plastic container. It makes wonderful smoothies and protein shakes. Motor is quite powerful and I love the easy cleanup. Noise is about the same as my previous Ninja blender. It would’ve been nice to know at time of purchase that a signature would be required at delivery.
