Review: Finally found a wedge pillow that actually works for side sleeping! - I’m 100% a side sleeper, and I bought this wedge pillow because when I sleep flat, the tissues in my upper airway swell and narrow the airway, making the airway feel restricted and like I'm not getting enough air/oxygen when I breathe. That narrowing can make it difficult to sleep, cause positional snoring/apnea even though I’m not sleeping on my back, and sometimes even cause me to wake up with a migraine. It would take hours after getting up for the swelling to fully subside, so that awful morning grogginess could extend well into my day. Then I realized something: this never happened when I napped on my couch. On the couch, my upper body naturally rests at an incline. So I decided to recreate my couch-sleeping position in bed.I actually have an adjustable bed and tried that first, but the articulation starts too far down my body. That might work perfectly well for a back sleeper, but on my side it created discomfort. No-go. Enter this wedge pillow. The stepped shape of the incline makes the angle feel incredibly natural. It closely mirrors the position I naturally end up in on my couch, except it’s even more comfortable. The gentle groove in the middle is especially great for side sleeping because it gives me room to position my shoulder and arm comfortably instead of feeling like I’m lying sideways on a giant ramp. And the difference when I wake up is remarkable. My airway is clear, I feel rested, and the morning grogginess is gone. I’m no longer spending half the day waiting for that upper-airway tissue swelling to subside. For me, this thing has genuinely been a godsend. Another huge plus: I don’t get lower-back pain from it. The shape and angle let me sleep elevated on my side without introducing the lower-back discomfort I experienced when trying to accomplish the same thing with my adjustable bed. A few tips specifically for fellow side sleepers: I would still use a separate pillow under your head, despite the product photos showing people lying directly on the wedge. A standard bed pillow is too large for this setup, though. A travel- or toddler-sized pillow is perfect. I use the Coop Home Goods travel pillow, and the combination is chef’s kiss, but anything around that size and shape should work. I also recommend a pillow between your knees if you don’t already sleep that way. I keep my regular pillows on the bed too and stack them behind my back when I lie down, which gives me that cozy “back of the couch” support. Totally optional, but I love it. One final hot tip: there’s a 100% cotton wedge pillow cover on desertcart (ASIN B09F3TCF49) that fits this pillow perfectly. I bought this hoping to replicate the one sleeping position in which I’d noticed I could actually breathe comfortably all night. It did exactly that, and managed to make the position even more comfortable. I can’t recommend this wedge pillow enough, especially for side sleepers who need to keep their upper body elevated.
Review: Best Wedge Ever - Long Time Wedge User - I’ve been using wedges for the better part of 10 years due to GERD and asthma. I have tried many wedges and many wedge alternatives. I can say without a doubt, this is the best wedge available on the market. I am about a month in to using it. The curves on the wedge provide excellent support to the back (lower back especially) that other wedges are devoid of. My lower back pain and tension has improved since switching to this wedge. The curves also make it possible to sleep on your side, which is very difficult on regular flat wedges. Some reviews complain of sliding down but in my extensive experience that is simply an inevitable part of sleeping on a wedge. I’ve actually noticed that I slide less with this wedge because the curves seem to “catch” your body preventing excessive sliding. I can also use my normal pillow with this wedge but I’ve noticed most wedges do not make it comfortable to use a pillow. Lastly, this wedge is higher in quality than most other wedges - the memory foam is truly soft and cradles you whereas other wedges seem to be made of cheaper foam. I expect this wedge to be highly durable but in any event, I beg, and I plead to please, please, never stop making this product!

## Features

- [INNOVATIVE CURVED WEDGE DESIGN]: Curved contour follows the natural line of your spine to support the shoulders and lower back. Anchor the flat edge against the headboard so the contour holds your shoulders in place through the night without sliding down.
- [19-DEGREE INCLINE FOR ACID REFLUX AND SNORING]: The 8.8 in (22 cm) elevation creates a gentle 19-degree incline. Gravity helps reduce nighttime acid reflux and positional snoring; many customers report meaningful improvement when used consistently nightly.
- [WEDGE DIMENSIONS]: 25.6 x 25.6 in (65 x 65 cm) at the base and 8.8 in (22 cm) at the peak; weighs around 6.8 lb (3.1 kg). Wide enough for most adult sleepers, light enough to reposition by hand. Replacement covers available — search B0F1V2XJLV on desertcart.
- [FIRM AT FIRST, SOFTENS WITH USE]: The memory foam is firm and supportive out of the box and softens slightly under body heat over the first few weeks. Many customers pair the wedge with a regular head pillow on top for a softer feel at the head and neck.
- [POST-SURGERY RECOVERY SUPPORT]: Stable incline designed to support shoulder, neck, knee, hip, and back post-operative recovery. Consult your physician for the elevation angle recommended for your specific procedure or recovery plan.
- [SIDE-SLEEPER COMPATIBLE WITH A HEAD PILLOW]: Side sleepers can use the wedge by adding a regular head pillow on top of the slope — the contour cradles the shoulders while the head pillow keeps the neck aligned. Strict side sleepers may find the 19-degree angle steeper than they prefer; back sleepers find the slope most comfortable.
- [LEG ELEVATION AND READING SUPPORT]: Flip the wedge under the knees for elevated leg rest that may help reduce lower back pressure and improve circulation. Also works under the back for reading in bed or watching TV without slouching against a headboard.
- [24-48 HOUR EXPANSION FROM COMPRESSED PACKAGING]: Ships vacuum-compressed for safe delivery. Unbox, gently knead the foam, and place in a warm, ventilated room — the wedge expands to its full 8.8 in height within 24 to 48 hours. The first night's feel is not the final feel.
- [LOW-ODOR FROM 7-DAY FACTORY AERATION]: Each wedge is aired for 7 days at the factory before shipping, so most customers report little to no off-gassing scent on arrival. Any light residual scent dissipates within the first 24 to 48 hours in a ventilated room.
- [SOFT REMOVABLE COVER WITH ZIPPER]: Soft breathable polyester cover with a zipper closure; unzips and is machine washable on a cold gentle cycle. Tumble dry on low or air dry to preserve the fit. Spot-clean the foam core only — never machine wash or dry the foam itself.
