Review: Overall happy, but beware first print and purples - Overall, I'm very pleased with this little printer, which I purchased to take on our upcoming vacation for visual journaling. As others have experienced, my first print jammed, then the color film was ripped and the first cartridge that came in the print was a waste. See last image of the mayhem that resulted. That was a helpful experience, however, because it helped me understand how the printer works. Because there was a fragment of film stuck in the rollers, I had a tough time getting the second cartridge installed, but with a lot of care, got it to work. My first print was a batch of purple flowers. The resulting image was very disappointing. The original image is the third one attached, and the print is the fourth image. I tried another image that also had a kind of rose/lavender background on a graphic, which was also a bit disappointing. So I decided to find a color wheel image and test print that. The original color wheel image is the first image attached, and the print is the second image. My conclusion from that test is that this printer will not print red, magenta and purple as well as I would like. That's not a deal-breaker for me, even though it is disappointing. Because dye sublimation is a heat-transfer process, it's possible that color rendering will change over time as the machine is broken in. If I were doing this all again, I would remove the first cartridge that came in the printer and reseat it. My thinking is that the printer may be jarred in transit and slightly misalign the printer. I'll probably wrap my printer in bubble-wrap while transporting in order to avoid that issue again.
Review: Fabulous little printer - Just a fabulous little printer. Easy to set up, works flawlessly with Apple OS Bluetooth. Beautiful 3x3 Polaroid-like print output. Highly recommend. I have been looking for dye sublimation mini printer and the Kodak is perfect!

### ⭐ [Updated] Works, if you are patient.
*by S***U on March 24, 2022*

EDIT: As of May 8, 2022, I'm at my wit's end with this product. Spending 30 mins to an hour to get the printer to detect the cartridge is frustrating enough. Then having to spend another 45 minutes to ensure that the printer senses my bluetooth and doesn't fizzle out midway during the printing process is another issue. It's a nightmare getting this thing to work for photos that are supposed to be good memories and quick prints to share with friends. Very disappointing because I really trusted Kodak as a brand. . . . . . . . . Original review: As most of the other reviews here have pointed out, this thing can be finicky. I bit the bullet and chose to get the Kodak Mini as opposed to the Instax printers because I've seen reviews and comparisons on color quality and on the prints themselves. In my opinion, the colors are relatively accurate—unless you're aiming to get a semi-faded or "photographed on weird film" sort of look—in which case the Instax might be your pick. Anyways. The app is a bit slow, the bluetooth will sense your phone on a good day, and when the stars all align, your Kodak Mini will print. Sometimes it will jam. You will have to repeat the steps (or shut it off and on...and off and on...) or you might even have to take out the cartridge, tinker with it since it'll very likely NOT detect your cartridge.... so on and so forth. It's a lot of hassle for a few photos, but unless you're printing things out ALL the time.... I've learned that as long as I'm patient, it'll do its job. Just be very aware that the process is pretty time consuming.
