Aside from the open heart dial, it is the only model to not feature a date display (as a consequence of the open heart, of course). However, it’s clearly taken design cues from its predecessors. The thin, modern hour markers and hands are borrowed from the AC08 Version 4, while the signed onion-styled crown is similar to the one found on the Version 2. It wouldn’t be considered an Orient classic contemporary watch without its signature domed dial and crystal. Dimensions-wise it lines up with the Classic Contemporary Small Seconds: 40.5mm wide and just 12mm thick. It is powered by the polished caliber F6T22, a movement developed specifically for our open heart watches. The stainless steel seems easy to scratch so just be careful what you wear it doing. It's been accurate and on time, the movement life lasts a long time, and it fits most wrists I would say. As an engineer, I love the open heart feature that allows me to see the inner workings of the most crucial parts of the movement. The design is super sleek, and in my opinion the 40.5 mm sizing is perfect. My favorite color is navy blue so I had to go with the blue dial. In lower light conditions it’s a little difficult to read the time with the blue dial, especially when either of the hands are in the vicinity of the open heart, as the metal is the same color. In terms of accuracy, I’d say this watch outperforms other watches in its price category, from what I’ve read. I set the watch almost a week ago and it has lost only 25 seconds at the time of writing this review. The blue alligator leather strap is great too. On my other watch, my wrist size was kind of in between notches, but the notches seemed to have a tighter interval on this band, so it fits me perfectly.
