We have not needed them for hot therapy, with that said, the cold therapy works great. My wife has what we think is carpol tunnel symptoms, which has been giving her numbness and tingling in her hands. We freeze the gloves in the reusable plastic bag that comes with the product. This is to keep them free from any food that they may come in contact while in the freezer.
