Sold in a convenient 5-box case, it’s compatible with leading dishwasher brands like Miele, Bosch, and Asko, helping maintain appliance longevity and delivering sparkling, spot-free dishes every cycle. ## Description Somat Salt is a special salt for water softening in dishwashers. Hard water can decrease the efficiency of your dishwasher and leave mineral deposits on your dishes. Somat Salt by Henkel helps prevent mineral deposits in your dishwasher jets and on your dishes. Somat special dishwasher salt by Henkel is ideally suited for use with Miele or Fisher & Paykel dishwashers which have water softening reservoirs. It is therefore no surprise that for years Miele has recommended Somat special water softening salt for use with Miele dishwashers. Review: Works Great in a Miele Dishwasher - I’ve been using Somat Dishwasher Salt for a while now, and I’m extremely pleased with the results. It works just as well as the Miele-branded salt—if not better—and is significantly more affordable. When I use this salt, my glasses come out sparkling clean, silverware sparkles, and I’ve noticed a definite improvement in the filter and internal tub. I truly believe it’s helped extend the life of my Miele dishwasher, which I’ve had since 2007. Hard water can be rough on dishwashers, and this salt has made a real difference in keeping mine running smoothly. Overall, this is a high-quality product at a great price. I’m very happy with it and will continue to buy it. Highly recommended—especially for anyone with a Miele dishwasher. Review: Dishwasher salt for less spots. - Our dishwasher wanted salt and it wasn’t available anywhere. We found this, and it works great. Is that correct? I was expecting chunky granules.** A: No, it is not a liquid, but rather granules. Does a great job.... I have used it for 19 years and have not had an issue with it. **Q: Can this be used in any dishwasher with a softener reservoir?** A: Dishwasher I have requires salt in built in softener. I have a Bosch. A light tells me when to add to my reservoir. I recommend by all means. **Q: With the case of 5, is each box 1.2 kg?** A: Yes, 1.2 kg each box **Q: How many ounces/lbs of product in each box (not the dimensions of the box, please)? Thanks.** A: The box indicates that it contains 1.2 kg (a MASS quantity) of product. Converted to a WEIGHT/FORCE quantity the box contains approximately 2.64 lbs or 11.77 newtons of product. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great in a Miele Dishwasher *by M***H on May 28, 2025* I’ve been using Somat Dishwasher Salt for a while now, and I’m extremely pleased with the results.
