Durable, Rugged, Reliable. Tank. - After breaking my original cheap black diamond and then having issues with a 3 month old $80 2x 123a powered princeton (cheap plastic broke and it would no longer switch to the high setting (was never dropped or abused)) I did about a solid 10 hours of serious research into finding the absolute best headlamp out there. I live in the mountains in WA and during the winter our daylight is short. On top of that I work on a farm and Im a very outdoorsy dude. So I need a good headlamp. My criteria for "best" consist of rugged, durable, reliable. I was originally pulled to Petzls tikka line and surefire. But was skeptical after reading reviews of the tikka and concerned about the size/weight of the surefire. Then I stumbled on the PIXA 3. "That's it." This thing is a tank. Im not even slightly worried about abusing this headlamp. Shes a tad bit on the large side but for the serious headlamp/gear/outdoors connoisseur you will find it no problem. If your looking for a true quality built headlamp that wont break on you when you need it (surprisingly rare these days), look no further. Review: Works well - Seems real good just haven’t used it enough .. ## Features - Headlamp keeps hands free for work and can be - Worn on the head with the headband - Attached to the helmet with a mounting plate (included) - Placed on the ground - CONSTANT LIGHTING technology ensures brightness that ds not gradually decrease as the battery drains ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00Q78WQF6 | | Additional Features | Durable | | Battery Description | AA (Alkaline, Ni-MH, Ni-Cd, Lithium) | | Battery Type | Alkaline | | Best Sellers Rank | #765,872 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #2,474 in Camping Headlamps | | Brand Name | PETZL | | Brightness | 100 Lumen | | Color | Black/Yellow | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 21 Reviews | | Finish Types | Matte | | Included Components | Headlamp | | Item Height | 8 centimeters | | Item Weight | 0.12 Kilograms | | Light Source Type | LED | | Manufacturer | Petzl Company | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 2. | | Material Type | Metal, Plastic, Rubber | | Mounting Type | Helmet Mount | | Number of Batteries | 2 AA batteries required. | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Style Name | Headlamp | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | | White Brightness | 100 Lumens | ## Product Details - **Special Feature:** Durable - **Color:** Black/Yellow - **Power Source:** Battery Powered - **Light Source Type:** LED - **White Brightness:** 100 Lumens ## Images ![PETZL, PIXA 3, Headlamp, 100 Lumens - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51f78-gZVML.jpg) ![PETZL, PIXA 3, Headlamp, 100 Lumens - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51xGQyjmizL.jpg) ![PETZL, PIXA 3, Headlamp, 100 Lumens - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61CdfnBTmPL.jpg) ![PETZL, PIXA 3, Headlamp, 100 Lumens - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71B1VZrueIL.jpg) ![PETZL, PIXA 3, Headlamp, 100 Lumens - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Fcoxh-xZL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does it fit on a petzl ventex helmet with the original band? or is it necessary to use other extension bands, etc?** A: Yes it fits, it also has the option of not using the band and directly inserting into the helmet. **Q: Will the mounting plate work with other helmets, or just Petzl?** A: The mounting plate that comes with the Pixa 3 only works with Petzl Helmet. We have other mount plates for different helmets and hardhats **Q: Does the light housing tilt down so you can move the light without moving your head down?** A: Yes! Up to 45° **Q: USB rechargeable?** A: Hi! The PIXA 3 100 Lumen is not rechargeable, it work with 2 AA/LR06 batteries . The rechargeble model is the PIXA 3R, it have a USB 5 V cable but the Petzl not recommend a recharge form a computer. I left here the link to the product page if you need more technical information (https://www.petzl.com/CA/en/Professional/ATEX---HAZLOC-headlamps/Rechargeable-battery-for-PIXA-3R). Im not even slightly worried about abusing this headlamp. Shes a tad bit on the large side but for the serious headlamp/gear/outdoors connoisseur you will find it no problem. It's a Head-Lamp/ Led. Only wish would be to have a red LED feature, pricey but well worth it for quality/name/etc. ## Frequently Bought Together - PETZL, PIXA 3, Headlamp, 100 Lumens - PETZL VIZIR - Clear - Eye Shield with EASYCLIP System for VERTEX & STRATO Helmets - PETZL, Vertex Vent Hi-Viz Helmet, Yellow --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/21917547-petzl-pixa-3-headlamp-100-lumens](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/21917547-petzl-pixa-3-headlamp-100-lumens) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
