I guess it would partially block ventilation but the extent would be down to how tightly you pack it in. This is good stuff if you want to fill little holes around a pipe say to stop mice but use to gloves provided to stop little splinters in your fingers. **Q: Bees . Would wire wool in a chimney top stop bees entering a chimney pot.** A: I have no experience if this, I used it to stop rats getting into my boiler through a small hole in the ceiling by the pipe. I would think it would though because it’s sharp stuff and not pleasant to be on or go through.
