I have VERY dry skin with a lot of redness and have been searching for a routine that works - most moisturizers leave my skin still flaky and unable to hold up to make up without looking like a monster. This serum is fantastic for me.I applied two pumps every day after shower/exfoliating. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, then follow up with a heavy duty moisturizer. Even without the additional moisturizer, the evenness and tone, softness and feel, it's really a great product.My only complaint is the bottle/pump is lousy. It's an exaggerated spring, which makes the serum shoot out. You get used to it, have to cup your hand just right. There is practically no smell (awesome) and it rinses off my hands nicely. Add it to your neck, too! I had been using a retinol serum most nights of the week. The retinol effected great improvements in my skin, but I felt that it peaked out. On the morning after the first night of this glycolic serum my skin was visibly even better than with the steady use of retinol. This glycolic serum made my skin glowing and slightly firmer from the very first use. Overall, it made my skin look even healthier than with the retinol use, and more youthful.What is effective for me: alternating nights between retinol serum and glycolic serum. Additionally, last night I discovered that layering Clarins Lipo Drain serum on top of the glycolic serum (waited around 30 minutes before applying the Clarins, and then after the Clarins, did the Clarins facial maasage) yields even greater results.
