At the time of this review the price of the controller kit is $69 U.S. that would be nice but not 100% nessary. Light blocking is phenomenal. Clip on fan is nice, quiet as well. Light is good but should have spent $80 more on the Samsung light. Growing cooking herbs right now but overall very happy with this. This is for the kit with the ts1000 light. Thank you Mars hydro for a good kit that is easy to get started with. This has enough room for a second grow light of the same dimensions if hung correctly. I have the ts 500 and it works well also.
