But the ratchet release takes a little time to get used to it. It is a good idea and works fine once mastered. Should not be an issue in normal use. The strain relief covers (or socks as I call them) fit nicely over normal Cat5/6 wiring 26 gauge but do not fit over 23 gauge wire that is rated for plenum use. A minor issue but for large industrial jobs, you will need larger "socks". For most home projects these are fine. I would rate it 5 stars, except the instructions were very lacking. In about 30 minutes, I made 2 and a half network cables, and that includes time to watch a youtube video on how to get the colored wires lined up right! YMMV, but I think this tool is good. I did not use the testers yet, as I forgot to buy a 9v battery.
