There are several brands. It lights the fastest and stays lit. Make a ball of newspaper and dryer lint(dryer lint is highly combustible) and loosely pile the coal on top, it needs air to burn. Light the paper and it all starts. To cook, hot dogs are easiest, burgers, vegetables. You can get recipes and cooking times on the Web. If you are scared of dropping things through the grate, there is a bbq cooking sheet made of silicone you can put over the grill to cook tricky things. There are no real rules. If you have a frying pan you can use that to make biscuits. Just make sure you cook outside, with no over hang. You put the grill in the shade under a tree, the flame can jump and set your tree on fire. It's not dangerous, but be aware since it's fire. **Q: Why do my glowing hot coals go out when I put the lid on? Vents open.** A: Not enough air flow.
