Picture shows external hard drives but the description says not to use external hard drives...** A: It works with usb 3.0 drives without a problem for me. It does have some issues with older usb 2.0 drives at times (but not always). I have this attached to my gaming laptop, which is windows based and not a Mac, so I can’t speak for performance with a Mac computer. **Q: Hello, will this work on a recently released 2021 16-inch macbook pro apple m1 pro with 10-core cpu, 16-core gpu, 16-core neural engine? thank you!** A: HI Davide, I have a 16" M1 with similar specs and it works with the Mac. I still haven't tested multiple drives, however **Q: Will this work for 2019 macbook pros? the ports are the same as 2018 models ( four thunderbolt 3 (usb-c)? i assume so; just want to verify.** A: Yes, this hub will work for 2019 MacBook pros. **Q: How long is the cable?** A: The cable is about 14" long. The whole device is about 19" long ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great bit of kit *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 4 November 2023* This is a simple but effective USB 3 hub, just plug into a USB 3 port and you now have 4 USB 3 ports to use. Not a lot to say about it, I installed it, connected two external USB3 hard drives and forgot about it. It just works. The hub feels well made and like it will last a long time. I have other Anker product and haven't had any problems with them. ### ⭐⭐ It Sort Of Works *by on Reviewed in Canada 23 August 2025* It works... sporadically. Choose a better option. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yes, it works, and very well! *by on Reviewed in the United States 20 July 2026* I am hesitant to buy off brand devices to solve connection problems with my tech. Unfortunately, Apple tech is expensive. I’ve bought (and returned) many devices that either haven’t worked or that haven’t lasted. I’ve found Anker devices very dependable in terms of providing working solutions and ones that last. I held my breath as I hooked this one up between a monitor with an hdmi connection and my new MacBook with a “C” connection. It worked just fine! No problem! Anker solves another problem for me with a quality product! ## Frequently Bought Together - Anker USB C Hub, Aluminum USB C Adapter with 4 USB 3.0 Ports, for MacBook Pro 2018/2017, ChromeBook, XPS, Galaxy S9/S8, and More - Anker Laptop Power Bank, 20,000mAh Portable Charger with Built-In USB-C Cable, 87W Max Fast Charging Battery Pack, 2 USB-C and 1 USB-A, For MacBook, iPhone 16/15 Series, Samsung, Huaiwei, and More --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/210933051-upgraded-anker-4-port-usb-c-hub-aluminum-usb-c](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/210933051-upgraded-anker-4-port-usb-c-hub-aluminum-usb-c) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
