Amazon Basics Window Mounted Air Conditioner with Remote, Cools 250 Square Feet, 6000 BTU, Energy Star, White

I like the price, the performance was good it kept the room cool. The size of the unit fit my apt window perfectly. It was easy to install. The only thing I didn’t like was it was a little noisy when it comes on but I can deal with that.

My bedroom gets SUPER hot all year round but summers are brutal! At least in the colder months I can just open the window... anyway this AC unit is great and gets the job done! I love that I can set it to a certain temp and having a remote(didn't pay attention that it came with) was/is an added bonus! And for the price! Yeah I highly recommend for a small to average sized room. Honestly could possibly even work for a larger room.

Gets the job done. Very easy to assemble, contains all pieces you'll need to fit in a window. Works great for a large bedroom. Only potential problems is that it is relatively loud. I like noise when I sleep, so it suits me well. Also, seems to have problems distinguishing outside temps and the inside temp. Like, if outside cools down but inside remains warm, the AC unit will turnoff before it cools off the inside. To overcome this, you may have to set the temperature on the unit a few degrees cooler than your desired setpoint.

I live in a two story house that no ac was able to keep my house cold. Was suffering in the heat waves but this works like a dream. My house has never been this cold. Very cooling and easy to use and install.

Easy to put together, it keeps my living room, kitchen and V.I.P. section really cold! I've brought 2! The other is in my room. Is a bit noisy but not to bad. Easy to control and the size is not to big. It's between small and medium.

Heads up. I bought this air conditioner and thought it was good. I rarely use it and it worked OK. When we moved our garbage cans near where the window unit was I started noticing a smell. Ac only cools the air in the room so I didn't think it could be the trash smell getting in. However it persisted and got way worse anytime I turned on ac. Well I have some techs look at it and they let me know that the Styrofoam insulation that has been pressed together still is leaking air. I guess most companies do this but then seal it with metal. This one has no metal. So that means all smell from outside is not pushed into your house. Your also blowing in hot air making it incredibly inefficient even though it's energy star. I did alot of research too before ordering and it got good marks. Buyer beware.

So far so good its been a few hours, and if anything major happiness I will update the review.As far as basic functionality it works just fine. Cools just fine, auto mode is able to detect temperatures pretty well.The audio levels are pretty much (not silent) easily drowned out by noise canceling products.Not a lot of customization when it comes to fan speeds but you do have some options.No some negative things I have to saw do not have to deal with functionality.When I got this product it was clearly used, and for a Amazon basic product that is almost unexceptionable.I was going to chuck it up to shipping damage until I saw the scuff marts on the bottom resting areas.Then I figured maybe this is a repackaged product....Then once situated and installed as soon as I turned the unit on a fishy/plastic smell came from the unit. I figured it just needed to air out and the smell would go away and it has. So that isn't to big of a deal.The remote is almost useless for custom settings. choosing a preset isn't a issue but the remote has almost a 1.5sec lag to it, so inputs can take a long time.At the end of the day while the product did have some noticeable issues the key functions work so I will give it a pass.

Item was delivered a day earlier which was great.. packaging was perfect, no dents or damages found. Easy to install and easy instructions to follow. Upgraded from a 5000 BTU to this 6000 BTU.I’ve given it a 5 star rating it’s an hour later and there’s already a big difference in my den area. It’s COOLER than it’s ever been this entire summer really comfortable. 😃I’m hopeful that this was an exceptional buy.😃And a GREAT product.I will continue to monitor.. Thanks 😊
