I can give it an excellent review because it addresses the problem with most pour-over coffee makers- the water not saturating the grounds evenly. This machine has an electric rotating water dispersal system that solves that problem and it does it superbly. I still use it when I do not have to leave a mug full for my sister-in-law. If you want a perfect large mug of coffee for yourself, this is the perfect coffee maker. I do not like paper filters so I bought a flexible stainless steel filter and cut it down to size. Dunkin Donut dark roast goes perfectly with it. I wish they would make a larger machine. Review: This is a ok. - It is a good poor over item. I grind my own beans with an electric burr grinder** A: The finer the grind, the stronger the coffee. But... if you grind it too fine, it will take too long to go through the filter and may overflow. I set my grinder right on the middle setting and it does not overflow so that is what I recommend. Also, very finely ground coffee can get bitter. **Q: Does the water come in contact with plastic parts?** A: Yes **Q: How many milliliters of water does the top reservoir hold?** A: I don't know because when I put it in the dishwasher it glass all cracked. I made one cup with one scoop of decaf coffee and it brewed very fast. Coffee tasted fresh. Clean up is easy. The glass carafe is sleek looking and the whole machine takes up minimal space on the counter. One can adjust how much water you put in and amount of coffee to adjust flavor to individual liking.
