Initially, I was disappointed because I didn't realize how small these are and they are half-moon rugs - not ovals.  BUT.....I discovered some really great uses for them.  I put one in front of our small electric (fake) woodstove and it looks adorable.  I put another one in front of a tall, narrow toiletry cabinet in the hallway and it couldn't look better.  In fact, it looks like it was made for that area.  So, be aware that these are samples....they are small and they are half-moons.....and get creative.  I will also add that the colors are BEAUTIFUL and the material used for the rugs is excellent.  So, my disappointment turned to excitement when I discovered how cute they are in front of various furniture pieces.
