They had the gimmicks, and the disk frames. The Sling Shock Achilles was pretty awesome though as well (even though most Sling Shock Beys were not great), and was one of our first Beys (now one of our over 60). It had the adjustable performance tip, the "00" forge disk (one of the best Hasbro ones, especially if used in combination with a disk frame), and the energy layer with the gimmick that extended blades and burst stops. The new Hypershphere Beys are cool, but don't have the neat pieces from past versions. This one is different. First - the energy layer is awesome. It can separate into two modes. Remove the chip and take off the top part of the energy layer. Put the chip back in - new mode. That is super cool, and a throwback into the SwitchStrike Beys like Noctemis and Salamander (although those switch by unlocking the energy layer and sliding it into a new position). It also looks cool. The forge disk is new, and only found on this Achilles as far as I know. I think it is neat that it is only found on Achilles, but is nothing super special, although I like having it. The performance tip is only found on this Achilles, and is really quite good. It moves around stadiums well and has good balance. A welcome addition to the Hypersphere collection. This is a great Bey to own and a cool one from the Hypersphere line. It can stand on its own, and when you switch pieces around, it can be quite strong. My children like to change up the modes as well in between rounds. I hope they make more Hypersphere Beys that have gimmicks like Achilles, and think it is a great one to have.
