Quality hose. Front stem has decently thick metal and cuff piece seems durable. The front also has a rotating piece that's a nice touch. 50 ft is long but exactly what I need for the garage and the price is attractive. I bought a vacuum hose hanger to hang it up on and it is a nice system. The new hose worked great and fit fine! After 2 uses, the hose disconnected from the handle and after reading other comments, I emailed the company to ask if there was a fix for it or if I needed to return it. They literally emailed me back immediately to tell me that the hose is reverse-threaded, so I needed to turn it in the opposite direction to re-attached the hose. It does the job with my 1967 built central vacuum system.Two minor drawbacks:1. The hose is not terribly heavy duty. If you step on it, it will crush. It springs back into shape pretty well, but my other vacuum hose does not crush if I accidentally step on it. And trust me, sooner or later you step on it.2. There's a little vent widget on the handle end that allows you to modulate the amount of suction that actually reaches the business end of the vacuum. This thing constantly creeps open while I am vacuuming, thus reducing the amount of suction. I have to stop what I am doing and close it off again.
