It's definitely a worthwhile series to check out and this season is the perfect place to start. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Medieval RPG style anime - well paced and humorous *by A***Z on August 4, 2019* This is a review of the blu-ray of "Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon". The series is on two disks. Disk one has episodes 1 - 9 and disk 2 episodes 10 - 13. There are some extras on disk two but they are clean opening and closing and some other titles by Sentain filmworks. The languages are English of Japanese with English subtitles. Plot - The gods have decided that life is more interesting if they live on the world with the mortals. They've given up their powers and now form famiilies (familias) with their followers. Their followers go on adventures in the dungeon which is a huge structure with many levels descending below the world. Hestia is a goddess with just one follower, Bell Cranel. Bell adventures in the dungeon. On one such trip he is rescued from certain death at the hands of a minotaur by the famous swordswoman Ais Wallenstein. She inspires him to become a better adventurer and he begins to level up quickly. This is at heart a light anime. There is some action and some fanservice. The series is character driven. The interplay between the many gods is mirrored by the adventures of their followers. The characters are generally well thought out and the plot moves along well with enough action/tension and humour to keep the viewer engaged all the way through. It's a bit derivative but then there are so many similar series and Isekai that it's hard to stand out from the crowd. This series manages to stand out for its excellent characters, dialogue and plot.
