Review: Nice starter kit and nice price too - Its perfect for starting chicks in a brooder. I use a large cardboard box with hardware cloth taped to the sides so we can watch 'em and be entertained. Its half the price of big box store kits and works perfectly to start out for a few weeks. Nothing works perfect for new chicks since they will hop all over everything you put in there. Pop on it too. Once they get big enough you'll want to come up with something they can't scratch food out of and nipple waters. These are small so they don't take up much floor space in the brooder box. I can't see why anyone would have any negatives unless they just have never had chicks before and expect perfection for the few bucks it costs. If your new, this is all you need. Don't listen to the negatives. thanks, DS

Its perfect for starting chicks in a brooder. I use a large cardboard box with hardware cloth taped to the sides so we can watch 'em and be entertained. Its half the price of big box store kits and works perfectly to start out for a few weeks. Nothing works perfect for new chicks since they will hop all over everything you put in there. Pop on it too. Once they get big enough you'll want to come up with something they can't scratch food out of and nipple waters. These are small so they don't take up much floor space in the brooder box. I can't see why anyone would have any negatives unless they just have never had chicks before and expect perfection for the few bucks it costs. If your new, this is all you need. Don't listen to the negatives. thanks, DS

All products have been working out great for our chicks. Great for young ones. Ours are now 8 weeks old. Will buy larger feeder and water container in about a month from now and save these for when we have little ones again.
