Review: Excellent chess course - Arthur Yusupov took his knowledge from the Moscow school of chess. Wrote it down and created the best chess education materal I have ever seen. 9 books in total + test&excem. Each book has 12 chapters. Focusing on one thing at the time. Build as course material shall be. Examples, excercises and test. Like any University course 3 hours minimum per chapter => 72 hours. 75-100 hours per book is what I estimate as "normal" effort. If you manage one book. You will improve. If you do all 9. Wow !!! Review: Five Stars - okay ## Features - New Store Stock ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | 380,964 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) 461 in Chess (Books) 953 in Indoor Games | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 111 Reviews | ## Images ![Boost Your Chess 1: The Fundamentals (Yusupov's Chess School) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61wxi1tVkiL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent chess course *by E***K on 17 April 2021* Arthur Yusupov took his knowledge from the Moscow school of chess. Wow !!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars *by G***K on 24 May 2018* okay ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely love it, but challenging *by F***E on 26 July 2026* I am currently working through the 4 yellow books and I absolutely love them. My current Elo rating is around 1800, it was around 1960 about 40 years ago before I stopped playing chess completely for nearly 40 years. So I thought that the yellow books might be a bit too easy for me and I could start with the blue ones and work up to the green ones, but actually I am very challenges with the yellow ones. They are very dense and they seem to cover all technical aspects of chess, especially for the middlegame and the endgame. In the meanwhile I came across some rather critical reviews about this series which state that it was mislabelled and were far too challenging for beginners and intermediate players. So, I guess it is okay for me to be challenged with these books. But improving needs some challenges and some serious effort. So I am happy with not finishing every exam (each chapter closes with an exam) with excellent or very good but even fail in part of the exams which means I should work through that chapter again. If you are ok with a book series which brings you to your limits - for expanding these limits - and adresses an Elo range comparingly low, this book abosultely might be for you. One of the best ever chess books I have bouth so far. ## Frequently Bought Together - Boost Your Chess 1: The Fundamentals (Yusupov's Chess School) - Chess Evolution 1: The Fundamentals (Yusupov's Chess School) - Build Up Your Chess 1: The Fundamentals (Yusupov's Chess School) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/206281913-boost-your-chess-1-the-fundamentals-yusupovs-chess-school](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/206281913-boost-your-chess-1-the-fundamentals-yusupovs-chess-school) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
