Swedish style black interior frame with a polished silver external all mirror finish. Swedish style goggles are the classic racing goggles designed for competitive swimmers. The low profile lenses sit comfortably around the eye and the traditional hard frame design gives swimmers a leak proof seal. The goggles come with two nose pieces and extra string that can be modified for a personalized fit. The goggle strap can also be cut and used as a comfortable nose bridge. Assembly Instructions: Thread nose string through the first lens using the small hole located at the side of the lens. Slide the nose cover over both ends of the nose string. Thread one end of the nose string through the remaining lens and tie with a knot. By sliding the string, you should be able to hide the knot inside the nose cover. To attach the silicone strap, push each end of the strap through the opening on the edge of the lens. Pull equal lengths through the lens hole, so that you can tie the strap in a knot. The silicone strap now acts as a double head strap. If you find you need to tighten further you can untie and shorten up the length or adjust the head strap clasp. Once you reach a comfortable length you can cut off any extra of the head strap. Some swimmers use a small section of the rubber strap in place of the nose string and nose cover. They do not look like the picture above (which do look like the original Swedish brand goggles but in smoke - not silver mirror. Not sure why the can't get the picture right but that is problematic in my mind. Shipping from SoCal Swim Shop was fast - but the goggles are a little different - they came partially assembled with the straps and nose piece. The nose piece is much thinner than the original and I like to stuff the ends of the string after I cut them back into the nose piece so that they don't irritate my nose, but that's not happening with this one. Part of the brilliance of the Swedish brand goggles is that you can customize them and you still appear to be able to do this with these. The strap is silicone, so it won't wear out as quickly as the old ones. Overall I think they're fine. I'm not sure, even with the strap upgrade, that they are worth the $10.99 price tag.
