Review: Best training aid - I've literally learned to properly strike a golf ball using nothing more than these practice balls as a training aid. They give you very good feedback as to whether your swing is working or whether it needs more work. Like any golf ball, they will sit their and look at you (mockingly) if you are lacking in swing skills. But also, they will gladly recreate the flight of a real ball (in miniature) to a high degree of accuracy. Yes, as you improve, you will start to knock them over your neighbors fence if you live in a standard suburban environment. (30 yards maybe?) And yes, the manufactures color choice is just a plain bad idea - they hide among leaves, grass, sticks and dirt to an astonishing degree. A solid bright fluorescent orange or yellow would be a great improvement. However, even with that drawback they still earn a five star rating. Once these balls start to fly with the proper distance, height and trajectory, you can be confident that a real ball will do the very same.

I've hit them off a mat and accidentally into a few walls and pieces of furniture and no damage at all, not even scuff marks. Super soft but they still give a satisfying feel off the club. I’ve used them outside too for harder hits and they’ve held up really well with no cracks or dents like some of the other practice balls I’ve tried. Bonus points for the mesh storage bag! It makes it easy to keep them all together. I highly recommend if you’re looking to sharpen your swing without breaking anything in your house or need a little gift for another golfer in your life.

**Q: What are the actual flight distances?  I have a small yard and don't want to be asking the neighbor for my balls back.**
A: Full swing with an 8 iron, I only hit them about 12-15 yards max. With a driver, they go about 20 yards. They go about half as far as the foam balls I have and about 1/3 as far as the "almost golf" brand practice balls I have hit. These are my least favorite practice balls that I have used (generic foam, callaway foam, almost golf, quolf and birdie ball). They don't feel realistic and the ball flight does not seem real like the others do. These stay lower and I have yet to slice one (or draw one, but slicing is the most likely with my swing). I also find that the don't work well for chipping practice for me either. I hit a couple of these and switched to real balls and these were flying higher than the real balls which is the opposite of what they do on a full swing (fly lower). They are much more durable and are fun for playing pitch and fetch with my dog. She chews on them and they show no signs of wear and tear. I did suck one up in the mulcher though and it did pay the ultimate price.

**Q: Can I hit these with a golf club?**
A: Yes, they are impact golf balls. They are designed to be hit with a golf club.

**Q: How far does an average 5 iron travel?**
A: These have EXTREMELY limited flight, I’d say a 5 iron would travel maybe 30 yards

**Q: How well do these balls perform in the wind? I am looking for a ball to practice on the beach from a turf mat.**
A: They are a tough practice golf ball, but there is one I like better.  The one's I like are called Aketek Practive Golf balls, Foam 12 count. $10.00.  I got a pack of orange and a pack of blue.  I also got the SKLZ impact, but I have stuck them away because the others perform better.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I hate to agree, but....

These balls are a big improvement over traditional whiffle balls, but like all the other people who have done reviews, I can't figure out why the ball is half yellow and half black. I assume for marketing, but it makes it more difficult to see when hitting and when searching for the ball upon retrieval. Otherwise, I like the feel and the flight and it is a much better simulation than the whiffle balls. I would also add that the length of these seems to be 10-15% further than a whiffle ball. Great product and hopeful that they will make these all yellow based on feedback.
