The twisting causes β€œkinks” from time to time. Roll with it has a completely different texture; if you look at all the photos you can see closeups that give a good idea of the difference between them. That said, I have this in a couple of different color ways. It is easy to work with, is deliciously soft and the colors are somewhat marled in places making the transition from one color to another smooth and really pretty in the finished item. I used this for a small corner to corner crocheted baby blanket and it turned out beautifully. **Q: how many yards?** A: 389 yards...and this is 100% acrylic but beautiful colors! **Q: How many balls would you suggest for a queen size blanket? tyia** A: Well each ball is 389 yards so I'd say on the safe side for a Queen size blanket 10 to 12. I was able to order it and three other colours via Amazon. It took a few weeks to arrive but the wait was not unacceptable. It's a very easy yarn to use, it does not split and defines the stitches well. There was some twisting but that was sorted by turning the ball over.
