**Q: Is this cord able to transfer photos to another device?**
A: No. This is used for viewing your pictures or videos on an HDTV.  You need a USB cable to transfer photos to another device.

**Q: Does any use it for tethering camera to screen (tv, macbook, etc). i would like the customer or myself to see the image as i am shooting.**
A: yes i use it to connect to my mac and tv. you will need to purchase a connector for your Mac.

**Q: can you use this cable on a d5100 to capture video from the camera with a capture card**
A: I don’t know. Suggestion: Buy the cable, if it doesn’t work then return it.
