Known for its robust flavor and medium caffeine content, this vegan-friendly tea delivers a classic British tea experience, perfect for hot or iced consumption any time of day. ## Description Founded in 1869 by Arthur Brook, developed his own quality blends mixing together various estate teas. This ensured a more consistent quality because, as with any crop, the characteristics of a consignment can vary according to climate, time of year and general growing conditions. In 1930 PG Tips was launched in the UK as a loose leaf tea in soft packs. It was originally called Pre-Gest-Tee" but soon abbreviated by grocers and van salesmen as PG. The company adopted the official name and added 'tips' to highlight that PG takes only the top two leaves and a bud to make its tea. PG Tips is a popular British blend of the finest Assam, Ceylon and Kenyan teas which produces a rich and refreshing flavor. The definitive traditional English tea. The PG Tips pyramid tea bag gives the tea leaves more room to move around than a flat conventional tea bag. So the tea bag works like a miniature tea pot. This allows for all the freshness to be released for the best tasting cup of PG. ## Features - Rich Black Tea: Experience the classic taste of PG Tips black tea, renowned for its robust and satisfying flavor. - 80 Count Box: Stock up on your favorite tea with this generous box containing 80 individually, non-pyramid, square tea bags. - Square Tea Bags: The unique square design allows for optimal water flow, maximizing the flavor of the premium black tea leaves. - Perfect Any Time: Enjoy a refreshing cup of PG Tips hot or iced, any time of day. - British Tradition: Bring a touch of British heritage to your tea routine with the iconic PG Tips brand. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0001LQKBQ | | Allergen Information | Allergen-Free | | Best Sellers Rank | #6,429 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ( See Top 100 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ) #37 in Black Tea | | Brand | PG Tips | | Brand Name | PG Tips | | Caffeine Content Description | Medium Caffeine | | Container Type | Bag | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 3,319 Reviews | | Each Unit Count | 8.1 | | Flavor | Black Tea | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00667803000950, 08712100739217 | | Item Dimensions | 3.94 x 5.71 x 4.29 inches | | Item Form | Teabags | | Item Highlight | Pack of 1. | | Item Type Name | Black Tea | | Item Volume | 1344 cubic centimeters | | Item Weight | 0.27 kg | | Manufacturer | Lipton Tea & Infusions Company | | Model Number | 6061-1 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Package Size Name | 80 Count | | Part Number | 6061-1 | | Product Benefits | Rich, robust flavor with antioxidant properties | | Product Shelf Life | 540 days | | Recommended Uses For Product | drinking hot or iced, any time of day | | Specialty | Vegan | | Sweetness Description | Not Sweet | | Tea Variety | Black | | UPC | 885250060765 129500838842 667803000950 767563885160 885855259274 698797988597 885259898420 885818906238 885644125223 | | Unit Count | 80 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** PG Tips - **Flavor:** Black Tea - **Item Form:** Teabags - **Tea Variety:** Black - **Unit Count:** 80 Count ## Images ![Black Tea Bags Non-Pyramid, 80 Count (Pack of 1) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/6143puQmFKL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Where is this tea made?** A: Good question. Nowhere on the box is the source mentioned though there is a bold "Fully Rainforest Alliance Certified Tea" label. I would guess it is grown in China, India, Kenya, or Sri Lanka. Wherever it is grown PG Tips is the best black tea available IMHO rivaled only by Robert Roberts from Ireland and Dammann from France. My wife is a flight attendant and she brings me tea from all over the world but the only one I pay for is PG Tips. **Q: How much hot water should i use per 1 teabag ? how long should i leave a teabag in a mug ? help me, i don’t know how to make tea.** A: Normally 7 to 10 oz water should be fine per tea bag, If you would like little stronger tea. Leave the tea bag for about 2 to 3 minutes in a mug. **Q: Can you tell me the nickel content of the tea? I'm being put on a low nickel diet; some tea is high and others low, so I need to know the μg per cup** A: It doesn't mention anything about nickel on the box, but does suggest that if you have questions you can call 877-851-0222 or check on their website www.pgtipsusa.com **Q: How much caffeine is in a cup?** A: From the article, “The Truth About Caffeine”: British study looked at 200 cups prepared by consumers going about their normal brewing routines. It found that the average caffeine level in the cups of tea (black English style teas) was 40mg vs 105mg in the average cup of drip coffee. The hotter the water and the longer you steep it will increase the amount of caffeine transferred to a cup of tea. ## Frequently Bought Together - PG Tips Black Tea Bags Non-Pyramid, 80 Count (Pack of 1) - Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Gold, 40 Teabags --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/2028069-black-tea-bags-non-pyramid-80-count-pack-of-1](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/2028069-black-tea-bags-non-pyramid-80-count-pack-of-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
