I feel like the instructions were meant for someone that didn't need much hand-holding. and when I saw those reviews about the instructions being terrible. i thought its can't be that bad but the reviews are correct to the extent that the instructions are not beginner-friendly. So if you don't have much experience putting furniture together do yourself a favor and get that expert assembly. Aside from the instructions issue, this product is sturdy and does the job that you need it to. no complaints.
