I spent months doing research checking 3 day blinds, blinds.com, Costco 3rd party sellers, and local blind contractors and they all try to charge me over $5K for my 5 vaulted ceiling living room windows. Obviously the market of contractors were overpriced.However, Spring Blinds is a great solution that was almost 80% less and their motorized blinds are built with quality materials. I recommend checking the Spring Blinds website to get the correct measurements and also going outside mount instead of the inside mount blinds. The only challenges I faced was installing the motorized blinds 22 ft up on vaulted windows using an extension ladder I rented from Home Depot that had my heart racing quite few times during installation. My toddler was cheering me on screaming, “Don’t fall daddy!” Luckily I am safe and I feel a major sense of accomplishment from installing the Spring Motorized Blinds myself and saving over $3500.Moreover, I highly recommend buying the solar charger accessory from Spring Blinds and buying Velcro tape to mount the solar accessory instead of using the screw mounts that come with the solar charger.Finally, if you’re worried about the DYI remote programming it’s important to pair the blinds individually and collectively before installing them above your windows. There are YouTube videos and videos from Springblinds.com that show you how to pair and set them. The package I received came with no instructions, but watching the videos from their website in my opinion were better than paper document instructions. Plus, they have good customer service that can give more details which I reached out to set the upper and lower limits of the blinds.In summary, if you’re annoyed by windows that are hard to reach and glare on your TV, Spring Blinds’ Blackout Motorized Blinds are a must have for an outstanding price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ wow! I am so pleased! Great shades! *by K***. on Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2018* These are great quality shades.(see picture) I had looked at Home Depot and Lowes, and even their custom made brand name shades looked flimsy. So, I ordered these and am so pleased with them. The mechanism for raising and lowering them is smooth and easy, not at all like the older shades from many years ago. The shade itself is made of high quality material, and I am hoping they will last a long time... they should be easy to clean, too. About installation, I rarely do things like that, and certainly don't have skills in that area, but was able to hang them with no trouble. Initially, I tried screwing the brackets in with just a phillips head screwdrivier, but I have arthritis in my hands, so that was too hard. I tried a rechargeable electric screwdriver, and got them up in no time. I have the rollout casement windows, and had trouble finding shades to fit, but these have top brackets instead of side brackets which made the measuring and hanging very easy. And they come in many different widths.They just clip right in! I have ordered and hung nine of them in my house, and have two more ordered for a bathroom. The metal part at the top can be ordered in white or brown, but you have to send Springblinds a message to let them know if you want brown. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Almost unusable motorized remote operation instructions but blinds are great *by J***C on Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2018* The motorized version of this blind set works great (assuming you like trial and error programming). The instructions for the LCD DC2702 multi-channel version are nearly unreadable and almost unusable; however, with the help of Google, I was able to combine the Google instructions with the included instructions, get the system paired and into the JOG/STEP mode and set the limits. Wore my pen (use pen or paperclip on P2) and fingers out but now it works. Good Luck. NOTE: The DC2700 non-LCD single channel remote I received with our first set of blinds was easier to program but still required a lot of trial and error.
