System?** A: Removes chlorine , order and bad taste in the water down to 1 micron. Can't imagine this not being enough for what other chemical your looking for. Also I use a pre filter ahead of this filter also and works fine. **Q: There is a black piece of material inside the filter, it clogs and shifts under oresdure. Am I supposed to move it** A: Yes. Nothing should be in the intake core to the filter. You may have curled up the label wrap and stuck it inside to save the information. Take it out. It will block the water flow. **Q: will this work on a Rainsoft RO system?** A: Yes if the housing is standard **Q: Can this be used in a whole house water filtering system that is not reverse osmosis?** A: Yes, this filter can be used for a whole house. It is being used being used as a whole house filter for our house presently. The cartridges last 6 months minimum. You do have to let the water run for 10-20 minutes to clear the fines out of the filter after installation. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Will turn your home’s tap into a money making machine *by B***K on May 28, 2026* BLUF: These filters work so well that I’ve started bottling my tap water and marketing it as if it dripped straight out of a prehistoric glacier — and honestly, with how clean it tastes, I’m not sure anyone could prove me wrong. --- I grabbed this 4‑pack of ICEPURE 1‑micron carbon filters for my whole‑house system, and they’ve been fantastic.
