**Q: Foot for sewing machine to use with ruler quilting**
A: It kind of depends on your machine (domestic/longarm, brand, etc). For my APQS Ultimate 1, I use the foot it came with. You can use a hopper foot. There are places to buy a foot to use with templates--clear ones or ones that are 1/4" high so they don't accidentally slip over the template (you might look at Top Anchor Quilting's site. They are awesome with questions and probably have the foot you need).
