After that, it slid right in. ***** Update ***** After going on a few rides, including downhill, I'm happy with these pads, quiet and good stopping power. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Guide pin holes needed to be drilled/aligned *by W***' on September 24, 2019* I bought two pair of these from my SRAM Guide R brakes. When attempting to install, I discovered that the alignment pin would not fit through the sandwich assembly of the two pads and the center spring. The size of hole and alignment in spring seemed to be primary culprit, so I used a 1/8 drill bit through the entire assembly and test-fit the pin before installing into each caliper. After that, pads seemed to work decently on first ride with new pads and new rotors - it took some time to get pads and rotors fully mated together, but I don't think there was any problem with the pads.
