The box says it makes "the richest, creamiest ice cream you have ever tasted." That's... quite a claim for a boxed mix, but I can say, this is hands-down the absolute best ice cream I've EVER had using a mix. With every other mix I've used over the decades, the ice cream tastes great when it's fresh and more like soft serve, but it doesn't keep well -- put it in the freezer, and the next day it's hard and icy. With this? It's great in that soft serve stage, BUT it's also still good the next day and scoops like... well, real ice cream, without that grainy texture you usually get. I also like that it comes in two 1-quart packets instead of a single bag inside. For my ice cream maker, I used both packets, but if you have a smaller machine, having the flexibility to just do 1 quart and leave the rest sealed up and fresh is a nice touch.
