She looks just like my child and she loves having a little "twin" of herself. I purchased the mini doll for Christmas so that big Rebecca would have her own doll. I think my little girl will love having a little doll for her big doll. I only paid $16 on Amazon, which is a lot better that $25 in the store (and I live close enough to shop in the AG store and avoid shipping costs). Why buy in the store when Amazon has much better prices?The doll seems in every way to be an exact replica of the bigger doll. The body is cloth and the limbs and head are vinyl. The limbs have a good range of movement. She can sort of stand on her own if she is barefoot, but for display purposes, you need the mini doll stand. Her clothes and shoes can be removed and she can fit into clothes made for Barbie's sisters Stacie and Kelly. AG doesn't make extra outfits for mini dolls, so it's nice to know that my child can use little outfits we already have. The curly hair has a tendency to get knotted. A hair pick works better than a brush. The pick doesn't rip out hairs the way brushes do.I will definitely buy more mini dolls. What a great way to increase a collection of historical dolls without taking up too much room!By the way, the mini book wasn't hard for me to read. My child was able to easily read it, too. I had concerns because I had read other reviews.It is an abridged version, so you'll need to buy the big book if you want the whole story. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Adorable AND affordable *by R***Y on Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2010* This mini doll of Rebecca, the newest American Girl, is a wonderful alternative to the costly larger version. It looks like the regular size doll, with the same facial features and proportions. Like the 18 inch doll, the neck, shoulders, and hip sockets are posable (although the eyes do not blink). Also like the regular doll, this one comes with Rebecca's "meet" outfit and a mini (and abridged) version of her first book, "Meet Rebecca."Visually, this mini doll looks almost as good as the 18 inch doll. The hair is lovely, with a barrette, side part, and soft curls (the mini dolls with bangs are another story, however--the hair is attached a different way from the regular dolls and the bangs end up WAY to poofy), although it may be mussed from being in a box. Her outfit is complete, and almost as cute as the larger size. My main complaint with the dress is that it unfortunately looks a little bit too large for the doll. Also, the buttons are just gold fabric and the boots are a rather flimsy leather and fasten with velcro rather than buttons.I would recommend this mini doll to anyone who wants a Rebecca doll but doesn't want to--or can't--spend almost $100 on it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ An "American" Girl doll made in China *by C***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2012* These dolls are cute, I give them that. It comes with the price of USA made, but the quality of China made. I was very disappointed to see these where made in CHINA. These dolls are twice the price of Barbie dolls. Not really made any better and that book you get is sooo small. Its about the size of a wet nap. No kidding. That being said this was a great alternative to splurging a $100+ on the big doll and my daughter seemed just as happy.
