Review: Nice product - I bought the 2 pack set which come with the charging cable but not the power blocks, which in this day and age everyone has power blocks laying around. I was able to each room that I wished to remotely control 3 older air conditioners. The setup wasn’t bad at all. There is a quick setup and then a manual learn if your remote isn’t recognized, but after a few minutes up and running. This will come in handy when I want to remotely turn on the A/C before I get home.
Review: Great - I got tired of not being able to control my fan on my shelf and ceiling. This one device turned anything with a remote into Alexa enabled. I can now set my AC and leave it on fan or turned off when I go to work. If it ends up being hotter in the day and I want the house cooled down, I just go to the app and turn the AC on as I leave work. And it feels great walking into a cool house instead of a hotbox that will take an hour to cool down.

A: The one thing that you need to keep in mind is that for this item to work--your device must first have a remote. More simply put--no remote, this device won't work. Therefore--if your stereo has a remote--this device will work, although some of the functions will be limited. (especially using google home)

I got tired of not being able to control my fan on my shelf and ceiling. This one device turned anything with a remote into Alexa enabled. I can now set my AC and leave it on fan or turned off when I go to work. If it ends up being hotter in the day and I want the house cooled down, I just go to the app and turn the AC on as I leave work. And it feels great walking into a cool house instead of a hotbox that will take an hour to cool down.

Bought this to control an off-brand tower fan with its own remote. There are a lot of options in the SmartHome app, but make sure to follow instructions, because it's very capable. The device we wanted to control is not standard, but the app's learning mode is very easy to work with and had no issues with the oddball brand remote. Been using the device with Alexa for weeks and it's been quite reliable.
