You can pull the bit out with pliers to override the magnet holding it in. Then using a q-tip, make sure the end of the hex opening is clean. You can also polish the six sides of the hex on the bit by rubbing each face on a piece of 800 grit wet or dry paper laid on a tabletop. Finally, put the bit back in the screwdriver and sand around the exposed portion with 150 grit sandpaper. This will make it rough enough to get a good grip on it without the pliers. You can buy other bits for this at the hardware store. I keep a number 1 square in my screwdriver for electrical work. **Q: Is it magnetic?
